Our Yuma line of knives draws inspiration from the iconic Bowie knife of the Old West. The Bowie knife, forever associated with frontiersman, Jim Bowie, and his imfamous Sand Bar fight, has it's roots in the clip point Spanish Navaja blades carried by the Vaqueros of the day. Our modern interpretation retains the classic clip point profile and combines a straight spine with decorative file work. Our knife incorporates a swage (secondary edge) on the top forefront of the blade as well. This knife utilizes a broken bone type grip with palm swell and is handled in highly figured Arizona Ironwood and Turquoise stone with nickel-silver pins and spacers.

Note: All Mesabi Bladeworks knives are made to order. Orders will ship within 3-4 weeks from date of order to allow time for the forging and finishing of the knives. All knives are custom made with natural and hand forged elements and variations in color, grain structure, tone, and San Mai patterning are to be expected and will vary from the photos depicted.
