James has spent the better part of 20 years involved in the restaurant business. First as front of the house staff and then as principal of a design agency working on concepts for restaurants across the country.

As a member of both the Minnesota Metalworkers Guild and the American Bladesmith Society, James brings a craftsman's chops to every knife he makes.

PROTOTYPE

His love of the outdoors led James to discover the magic of the Boundary Waters and the beauty of fields and forests of Northern Minnesota. When not living in a tent, James spent the better part of 20 years involved in the restaurant business.
